2025 Efforts and Significant Projects

In 2025, The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs focused on expanding visibility, strengthening community engagement, and building the infrastructure needed to better serve families facing food insecurity. Each project was designed to increase access, deepen trust, and create meaningful impact for Clay County residents.

1. Development of Our Website & Online Donation Platform

A major milestone this year was the creation of a modern website with an integrated donation platform. Before this project, supporters had limited ways to give or learn about our services.

  • The new platform now provides:

  • A centralized place for donations

  • Volunteer information

  • Program updates

  • Clear communication about our mission

This effort addressed a long-standing challenge of accessibility and has already improved our ability to sustain operations and reach new supporters.

2. Branding of Our Outreach Van

To increase awareness throughout Clay County, we completed a full branding of our service van—transforming it into a mobile billboard for hunger relief.

The van now:

  • Raises visibility everywhere it travels

  • Helps families easily identify our team at events and food drives

  • Reinforces our presence as a trusted community resource

This project has strengthened recognition and helped connect more residents to available support.

3. Community Food Drives

In 2025, we expanded our food collection efforts by organizing and supporting multiple community food drives across Clay County. These drives were hosted in partnership with local churches, schools, civic groups, and businesses.

  • Through these efforts, we were able to:

  • Collect essential food items to support weekly distribution

  • Engage families and youth in acts of generosity

  • Build ongoing relationships with community partners

  • Increase the volume and consistency of donated goods

These food drives directly strengthened our ability to meet the rising needs of Clay County families.

Our consistent presence at these high‑visibility events positioned the Food Pantry as an active, approachable, and reliable community partner.

5. Christmas Parade Float – 2nd Place Winner, 2025 Green Cove Springs Parade

One of our most joyful projects was the creation of our Christmas parade float. Volunteers, families, and supporters came together to design a float that celebrated generosity and community spirit.

Our float earned 2nd place in the 2025 Green Cove Springs Christmas Parade, bringing positive visibility to the pantry and highlighting the importance of supporting local families in need.

Beyond the award, the float served as a symbol of unity and hope for Clay County.
