The Heart of Our Mission

Matthew 25:35, Jesus says, “For I was hungry and you gave Me food.”

He does not say they were hungry.

He says I was hungry.

Jesus intentionally places Himself in the very person who is in need.

He is telling us that when we serve someone who is hungry, thirsty, or struggling, we are meeting Him in that moment.

And just a few verses later, in Matthew 25:40, He says,

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me.”

Not “you helped them.”

But “you did it for Me.”

This is the foundation of our ministry.

And this is what we mean when we talk about The Wynema Way — treating every person with the love, dignity, and compassion we would offer to Christ Himself.
